Tingleman’s process puts our clients directly on top of their job’s workflow through production and shipping right up to delivery.

When you check your job in with us, ordering a high value job does not mean “out of control until delivery”.

We are present during the entire production process be it local or offshore; and can provide exact and up to the minute information on the progress of your job. There are no hidden costs or hassle for freighting, customs clearance or duty payment.

Tingleman’s quote covers all pre-press and delivery costs, so you can set your budget knowing the entirety of your print spend without having to cover for unexpected cost blow-outs.

Frequently
Asked Questions...

It depends on the volume and the type of job. Some jobs are less than half the cost versus other choices, while less complex short run jobs are simply not efficiently sourced through a bulk buyer like Tingleman. We recommend getting a quote and talking to us about the cost benefits related to your particular job. We’re happy to quote any job, and our advice on the advantages or disadvantages of our bulk buying and quality control services for your specific job is cost free.

Turnaround time from signing off your proof or production sample for immediate production until delivery typically takes 6-7 weeks. Very large production runs can take a bit longer. If your deadline is urgent, for most jobs we can dispatch air freighted items to arrive within 2 weeks of starting production. Some Tingleman clients ask us to air freight an urgently needed smaller quantity with the balance of their job arriving by sea freight 6 weeks after approving the job for production start.

A major Tingleman advantage comes through our long experience in choosing, inducting and managing top level print and binding operations. We choose our suppliers on aptitudes that go beyond simply having the best plant and machinery. In addition, our factories are able to efficiently handle volumes that smaller operations cannot. Direct liaison with paper mills and other input suppliers means we choose the best available raw materials for your job. We are a bulk buyer, which gives us significant cost and status advantages – for example, we can require priority start times and can send you up to the minute videos during any stage of production.

1. You upload (via our FTP site) or send Tingleman a press ready PDF file of your job.

2. The press ready file will be downloaded in our supplier’s prepress department; flight checked by telephone conference and with our staff present; converted to a production ready RIP file; bound into a production mock up, and air freighted back to you. Your production mock-up (proof), is typically delivered to you within 3 days of Tingleman receiving your press-ready PDF.

You check the content and materials used in the production mocking up. If the job requires no edits and you are happy with the materials, you can sign off to proceed to production immediately. If alternative materials are needed, we find them, and have the new materials air freighted for your approval. If edits are required, you simply change the press ready file, and sign on for production based on the new file as supplied being the final production copy. Generally, jobs are in production within 4 hours of signing off your proof.

3. Once printing is completed, we bind (finish) one copy only, and air freight it to you to ensure the standard of work meets or exceeds your expectations. Once this postproduction sample is approved by you, we bind the entire job, having provided contractual assurance that the delivered bulk will be the same as the signed-off postproduction item.

4. We package your job to a stringent standard (strapped double walled export boxes with an internal layer of bubble wrap) and ensure the job is labelled as per your requirement. After checking with you regarding any air freight requirement, we then pack the goods into our container, arrange export documentation, insure the shipment and book it in with the next available sea transit.

5. Tingleman tracks your goods through transit; and when the shipment arrives, we arrange customs clearance, delivery to our warehouse, and unpacking of the container.

6. Once the containerised goods have been sorted in our warehouse, you have a final right to check and veto based on the shipped goods having arrived in perfect condition.

7. When you are completely happy, we palletise, shrink wrap and arrange local delivery. Your quote will include delivery to one location. However, we can also arrange for storage, incremental and/or deliver to multiple locations if required.
